Ricky Ehrgott has only been racing for 4 short years, but he is no stranger to the racing scene. His father Rick Ehrgott, owner of Rev1 Racing, was previously part owner in Tri-Star Motorsports, an Indycar team that provided the car for Tony Stewart in the 1999 Indianapolis 500. Ricky was around professional racing from a young age and fully understands what encompasses a professional racecar driver. In four short years, Ricky has made some incredible progress in his racing career. Beginning in the USAC Ford Focus series, Ricky has steadily progressed up the ranks to racing full time in the USAC National midget series. For 2009, Ricky is taking an even bigger leap to the IRL Indy Lights Series. Ricky, originally from Tampa, Florida, now resides in Indianapolis where he is attending classes at the Purdue School of Engineering in Indianapolis to obtain a Mechanical Engineering degree. He spends the majority of his spare time training at St. Vincent Sports Performance Center and maintaining the teams midget cars at Rev1 Racing in Brownsburg, Indiana.
